Notably, she spearheaded the establishment of treasury functions for two spin-off companies, showcasing her ability to build from the ground up. At Cummins, Gloria’s impact was global, as she crafted and managed a comprehensive treasury organization spanning five continents.
Gloria’s expertise extends across capital markets, where she has navigated both as an investor and an issuer of securities. Her proficiency in financial risk management encompasses currencies, interest rates, and commodities, alongside adept cash management and forecasting. Her oversight includes robust internal controls and meticulous management of pension and foundation investments, demonstrating her commitment to fiduciary excellence.
Gloria has driven and hired successful global teams in merger and acquisition transactions. Collaborating closely with tax and legal teams, she ensures seamless integration across treasury, banking, and benefit plans on a global scale.
Gloria’s leadership and talent development extends beyond corporate realms, as she has served as Secretary or Chair to pension investment and governance committees across various countries, setting agendas and leading governance practices. As a passionate fiduciary, her stewardship extends to diverse sectors, including oversight of investments for captive insurance and charitable foundations.
Actively engaged in professional organizations, Gloria has held committee positions in esteemed bodies such as the Committee on the Investment of Employee Benefit Assets and the Financial Executives International Committee on Benefits Finance.
